It’s easy to start punting the promises of God off into the future— even as far as the after-life. Especially after we’ve faced a few tough seasons, several rough / busted-up relationships, and a bunch of broken dreams… But the promises of God— though we won’t fully experience them until the future— are ALSO good for now. Let me explain… 👇 To do so, we need to discuss redemption. The word means freedom— freedom from slavery, to be exact. We don’t think about it too much in our culture, but when you go back into the Biblical times in which the word was first used (speaking of what God promised to do for the Hebrew slaves in Egypt, see Exodus 6:6, Exodus 15:13), the word means much. And, the concept of— ⛓️‍💥 rescue ⛓️‍💥 release ⛓️‍💥 restoration — it’s something we all long for.   Scripture tells us Jesus is our redeemer, the one who sets us free. Moreover, He is OBJECTIVE in His redemption— while also maintaining a subjective unique relationship with each of us.
Here’s what I mean: when sacrifices were offered, God didn’t judge the perfection of the sacrificer, He judged the merit of the sacrifice itself. In fact, the person’s credentials were of no consequence— only the offering they made (had to be “without spot or blemish”). Jesus redeems our whole person… … and our whole situation. In fact, He’s currently working on a cosmic redemption— at a level we can’t fathom. (Or, to say it another way, He’s been far more successful in the past than we typically think, and He’s orchestrating something much more massive than we’ve been taught to expect.) ❤️‍🔥   On a personal level… … where we are now. It’s an invitation to wholeness and healing. Something that infuses every area of our lives and then overflows into the world around us.     _________________ Links referenced Take a deeper dive at the GY6 website: www.GY6.online  Access the Soul Wholeness video course = www.Jenkins.tv/SWV  Grab the digital bundle (eBook + audiobook) = www.Jenkins.tv/SW  One-to-one personal coaching = https://www.jenkins.tv/PC    Related past episode on this topic: Go to 💜episode 16, “Soul Whole” = https://www.jenkins.tv/podcasts/podcast-version-2-0/episodes/2149103023  And then… 💥 episode 14, “I’ve got your six” = https://www.jenkins.tv/podcasts/podcast-version-2-0/episodes/2149101160  See also 💥 episode 15, “Through the pain… into purpose” = https://www.jenkins.tv/podcasts/podcast-version-2-0/episodes/2149101159    Mike’s stuff Go to www.HolosHP.com  Mike’s book + audiobook = www.HolosHP.com/SAE  See his ministry at www.JuntoTribe.com  Upcoming events 📳 The GY6 LIVE! workshop = on the events page of the GY6 site = www.GY6.online/events

  2. 32 | 🧩Interdependent Realization

    FEB 25

    32 | 🧩Interdependent Realization

I almost titled this talk “Spirit, Soul, and Body,” but the term “Interdependent Realization” stuck out as we prepped for the recent GY6 workshop. Here’s what you need to know about Interdependent Realization (a phrase I hijacked from my friend, Mike Sanders, who wrote the forward for GY6— see Mike’s links below)…   1️⃣ There are two unseen parts of us— and they are different. (Now, although we discuss these three areas as “different parts,” understand that they each impact one another. This is what Mike calls Interdependent Realization. The body, the soul, and the spirit don’t exist in isolation from one another.) It’s easy to distinguish the “seen” part of us (body), but differentiating between the unseen parts is a little tricky… 👇 Hebrews 4:12 shows us that are “unique,” though. In fact, the Bible helps us discern which part is soul and which part is spirit… 🧩 The spirit is the part of us that is “ONE” with Christ, as of the Cross (see Romans 6:6, 1 Corinthians 6:17, and Galatians 2:20). 🧩 The soul is the part of us that’s “in process.” It’s our mind, our thoughts, our will… (read: our personality), and is the piece of us that’s being transformed (see Romans 12:1-2, Philippians 2:12).   2️⃣ God intends to redeem ALL of you— not just your spirit. 3 John 2 is a prayer that the Apostle John offered… “May all go well with you and may you be in good health, as it goes well with your soul.” Some translations propose, “May you prosper in all things, as it goes with your soul.” John reminds us that God wants to do a work in every area of our life— even beyond the spirit, soul, and body. He wants to impact our families, our finances, our faith, our friendships… every area. 👇 Paul prayed something similar in 1 Thessalonians 5:23: “May your whole spirit, soul, and body be kept blameless…”   3️⃣ We reap the “benefits” of the “part” of us we most fully lean into… The soul is essential. God doesn’t want to eradicate it. In fact, Proverbs 11:30 suggests, “He who wins souls is wise.” The soul is that part of us that interacts with the world— with people and places and opportunities and obstacles… It receives vital information from the environment around us. But we’re not designed to be controlled by it— anymore than a thermometer is designed to control the temperature of your house (read that carefully: a thermostat sets the temperature / a thermometer just tells you what the current temperature is). Galatians 5:25 tells us to “keep in step with the spirit” (read: not the soul). This is a military marching term that speaks to walking in the cadence of the Kingdom…   🥾 So how do we do it? We go back to that term INTERDEPENDENT REALIZATION… … and we affirm that: ✅ Each of these parts of us were created by God— they’re part of a creation that was deemed “good” (see the refrain throughout Genesis 1). ✅ Each piece of the human puzzle— as is all of creation— is part of God’s current redemption project (see Acts 3:21, Isaiah 59:17-20) ✅ Everything exists in, for, and through Him (Colossians 1:16-20), including each part of who we are. To say it as Paul did, “in Him we live and move and breathe and have our being” (Acts 17:28)— spirit, soul, body… all.   _________________ Links referenced Take a deeper dive at the GY6 website: www.GY6.online  Access the Soul Wholeness video course = www.Jenkins.tv/SWV  Grab the digital bundle (eBook + audiobook) = www.Jenkins.tv/SW  One-to-one personal coaching = https://www.jenkins.tv/PC  Mike’s stuff Go to www.HolosHP.com  Mike’s book + audiobook = www.HolosHP.com/SAE  See his ministry at www.JuntoTribe.com  Upcoming events 📳 The GY6 LIVE! workshop = on the events page of the GY6 site = www.GY6.online/events

  3. 31 | 💥 Jesus = better at salvation than you are at sin

    FEB 18

31 | 💥 Jesus = better at salvation than you are at sin

I don’t know where I first got the thought— “we seem more confident in the enemy’s ability to deceive us— and to steal, kill, and destroy— than we are about Jesus’ ability to heal and mend and restore all things.” I guarantee the concept isn’t original to me, but maybe you can relate. Maybe you’ve even— like me— found yourself on the WRONG side of that belief structure at some point. 🤔 Buried in the New Testament we find an interesting title given to Jesus. Actually, we find two of them that correspond to each other. They’re so closely related that they’re virtually inseparable. Yet, as important as they are, I bet you’ve never heard a sermon on either one: ✅ The Last Adam ✅ The Second Man We find them both in 1 Corinthians 15:45-47 (AMP, emphasis mine): Thus it is written, The first man Adam became a living being (an individual personality); the Last Adam (Christ) became a life-giving Spirit [restoring the dead to life]. But it is not the spiritual life which came first, but the physical and then the spiritual. The first man [was] from out of earth, made of dust (earthly-minded); the Second Man [is] the Lord from out of heaven. 👇 Here’s what they mean… As the “Last Adam” Jesus ended something Adam began— a lineage of sin and (subsequent) death. Adam was the “first man.” Everyone, everywhere on the planet knows that. He’s the first guy that ever walked on this planet. No argument about him being the first man, so let’s move on. Jesus was the “Last Adam.” Paul tells us that as the “Last Adam” Jesus ended something that Adam began.Somehow in the great scheme of it all, we can theoretically trace our lineage back to him. Given enough time and help from ancestry.com or some intensive archaeological work, we can map our family trees all root right back down to him. Physically, that is. 👇 But there’s more. Jesus wasn’t JUST the “Last Adam,” He was— IS— also the Second Man. As the “Second Man” Jesus began something new— another bloodline of humanity which is unchained from sin and hitched to radical freedom. But Paul tells us there’s another kind of life than the life we merely see in the physical realm— a spiritual one. The physical one came first, and then the spiritual one emerged (1 Corinthians 15:46). Jesus has given us a new spiritual DNA. And, as you might suspect, He’s done this because we’re included in Him like we discussed in the previous chapter. As the “Last Adam,” Jesus walked this planet as the final man born in that spiritual line of natural-born sinners. Yet, at the same time He lived as the Last Adam, He became the “Second Man” (v47). Jesus literally launched a new race of humanity— one unchained to sin yet bound to freedom! 🔥 Physically, you’re related to Adam… in the flesh. You have his physical nature. 🔥 Spiritually, though, you stand in the lineage of Jesus. You have His spiritual nature. The “us” that was born in the image of Adam was crucified, died, and was buried (see chapter 3). We arose— re-made in the image of Christ. 👇 The Bible DOES tell us clearly that sin spread to all people… through the actions of Adam. But it ALSO tells us that LIFE and FREEDOM spread through Jesus in the same way… Romans 5:12,15,19 says it like this (AMP, emphasis added): Sin came into the world through one man, and death as the result of sin, so death spread to all men, [no one being able to stop it or to escape its power] because all men sinned… But God’s free gift is not at all to be compared to the trespass [His grace is out of all proportion to the fall of man]. For if many died through one man’s falling away (his lapse, his offense), much more profusely did God’s grace and the free gift [that comes] through the undeserved favor of the one Man Jesus Christ abound and overflow… For just as by one man’s disobedience (failing to hear, heedlessness, and carelessness) the many were constituted sinners, so by one Man’s obedience the many will be constituted righteous (made acceptable to God, brought into right standing with Him). 👇 Let’s get practical. Here’s what it means for me and you: Either Jesus makes all things— or He doesn’t. And if He does, I mean, if we truly believe He does, then we really need to look at the ramifications of what that means for us… … and, even more, we need to “walk out” those beliefs… with a humble confidence that, in time, all things change. 👇 That’s the subject of this talk. 💙   _________________ Links referenced Access the LifeLift book = www.Jenkins.tv/free  Grab the Purpose book = "LifeLift lite" = https://www.jenkins.tv/purpose  Jump straight to the LifeLift course and other purpose-discovering resources = https://www.jenkins.tv/framework-purpose  One-to-one personal coaching = https://www.jenkins.tv/PC  🦋 The talk with Rob, where we discussed KAINOS / new.   Upcoming events 📳 The GY6 LIVE! workshop = on the events page of the GY6 site = www.GY6.online/events  ✅ Events for church + ministry leaders via LifeLift Ministries = www.LifeLift.online/events  👟The “Be The One” 5K = signup to run, walk, volunteer, or just support the movement = www.BeTheOneToday.com

    30 | 💦 The Fake Baptism

The true measure of revival isn’t what happens in a moment, it’s what happens over time. The supernatural is a lifestyle. I didn’t always think that… 🤷‍♂️   However, the more I look back at the story that created LifeLift (a book of my dad’s that I rewrote several years ago)… … and the more I truly lean into God’s heart for us… … the more I see that, so often, we get caught up in emotional moments rather than looking the bigger picture of what God is doing. 💗   I might be wrong. But… … just possibly… I think I’m onto something. 🧐   So, to tell you the story of when I truly encountered the Lord, I need to take you back to the time I got “fake baptized” (I think it might have been with good intentions but, as they say, the past is the past). 🤷‍♂️ Let’s talk.     _________________ Links referenced Access the LifeLift book = www.Jenkins.tv/free  Grab the Purpose book = "LifeLift lite" = https://www.jenkins.tv/purpose  Jump straight to the LifeLift course and other purpose-discovering resources = https://www.jenkins.tv/framework-purpose  One-to-one personal coaching = https://www.jenkins.tv/PC    Upcoming events 📳 The GY6 LIVE! workshop = on the events page of the GY6 site = www.GY6.online/events  ✅ Events for church + ministry leaders via LifeLift Ministries = www.LifeLift.online/events  👟The “Be The One” 5K = signup to run, walk, volunteer, or just support the movement = www.BeTheOneToday.com

This is part 3 of a special series within the podcast… My friend Jennifer Davis (editor of The Alabama Baptist AND executive director of the TAB Media Group) recently hosted me on her podcast. I asked her if I could cross-post to my platforms, and she agreed… So, here’s a 1-2-3 punch on Healthy Church,” a new project I helped my Dad reboot and release. 💙 ________________     Churches organize and do “lots and lots” for things. However, in the hustle of it all, we need to make sure we’re doing the RIGHT things…   All of the— ⭐️ Programs… ⚙️ Processes (including budgeting our time & money) of how things get done… 📝 Policies & procedures (rules & operating guidelines) of how we “behave”… … should all flow into the 6 functions we see in Acts 2:42-47.   Each of these work together and FEED each other, creating a dynamic that’s unlike any other organization (remember, the church is an organism— a living entity). The six are… 1️⃣ Worship 2️⃣ Discipleship 3️⃣ Ministry 4️⃣ Evangelism 5️⃣ Fellowship 6️⃣ Prayer   _________________ Relevant links 📻 Access the FREE 2-4-6 framework / audio course = https://www.lifelift.online/246  📺 Purchase the Healthy Church mini course = https://www.lifelift.online/HCMC  ⚙️ Grab the Healthy Systems mini course = https://www.lifelift.online/HSMC  ⭐️ See all resources = https://www.lifelift.online/store  Upcoming events + training opportunities on this resource ✅ Events for church + ministry leaders via LifeLift Ministries = www.LifeLift.online/events  Links to TAB Media Group / The Alabama Baptist  ⭐️ Catch-all home page = https://tabmedia.group  📺 YouTube for TAB = https://www.youtube.com/@TABMediaGroup

28 | 😮 Four ways churches should grow (and how we often start— and end— at the “wrong place”)

A reminder = my friend Jennifer Davis (editor of The Alabama Baptist AND executive director of the TAB Media Group) recently hosted me on her podcast. I asked her if I could cross-post to my platforms, and she agreed… So, here’s a 1-2-3 punch on Healthy Church,” a new project I helped my Dad reboot and release. 💙 ________________   Paul uses the analogy of a human body when talking about the church (see 1 Corinthians 12, Romans 12, Ephesians 4:11f.). Well, to say it a better way, he doesn’t say the church is LIKE a body, he declares the church ACTUALLY IS a body— the Body of Christ. So, let’s affirm this about human size AND about church size…   While you DO need a certain “mass” for a human to be viable, there are far more indicators as to how healthy the human is than just mere size. Think about it— 🤷‍♂️ You can have a healthy 150-pound man OR an unhealthy 150-pound man. 🤷‍♂️ You can have a healthy 300-pound man OR an unhealthy 300-pound man.   A lot depends on the KIND of weight that man has (read: the kind of size, muscle or fat) AND other indicators we don’t see… ❤️ the condition of his heart and his blood 💥 the amount of stress he has— and how he handles it 😴 the rhythm of rest, recovery, and the working hard… 🚽 the capacity he has to eliminate toxins while storing nutrients See?   The same is true with churches— with the body of Christ… The numbers DO tell some of the story, but only SOME. The numbers are one of many indicators. In this talk we walk through FOUR indicators— 🕊️ Spiritual growth = awakening to who God designed us to be and walking in relationship with Him ⚙️ Ministry involvement = discovering the unique part we play and deploying into that area of stewardship 🌎 Missions advancement = taking the energy of the church outside the four walls of the building and inviting others to experience the presence & power of the Kingdom (not the church, the Kingdom) 🔥 Outreach effectiveness = people are impacted and begin the journey of spiritual growth… (Then, they can start the process.) Bottom line: churches grow in multiple ways— especially if you want them to be healthy.   _________________ Relevant links 📻 Access the FREE 2-4-6 framework / audio course = https://www.lifelift.online/246  📺 Purchase the Healthy Church mini course = https://www.lifelift.online/HCMC  ⚙️ Grab the Healthy Systems mini course = https://www.lifelift.online/HSMC  ⭐️ See all resources = https://www.lifelift.online/store  Upcoming events + training opportunities on this resource ✅ Events for church + ministry leaders via LifeLift Ministries = www.LifeLift.online/events  Links to TAB Media Group / The Alabama Baptist ⭐️ Catch-all home page = https://tabmedia.group  📺 YouTube for TAB = https://www.youtube.com/@TABMediaGroup

27 | 🤷‍♂️ It seems odd (to me) that that greatest commandment demands that people “love God”— so let’s reframe it

Heads-up = my friend Jennifer Davis (editor of The Alabama Baptist AND executive director of the TAB Media Group) recently hosted me on her podcast. I asked her if I could cross-post to my platforms, and she agreed… So, here’s a 1-2-3 punch on Healthy Church,” a new project I helped my Dad reboot and release. 💙 ________________   Jesus referenced two “greats” during His time on earth… ⭐️ The great commandment = “love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength” (see Matthew 22:36-40), AND ⭐️ The great commission = “go into all the world and make disciples…” (see Matthew 28:18-20). 🤷‍♂️ It seems odd (to me) that that greatest commandment demands that people “love God”— so let’s reframe it… … it looks like (just my perspective) that one (the commission) flows FROM the other… … as an overflow of our “love connection” with God. 💥 But how do you inspire love? And how do you “create” a feeling? 🤷‍♂️ In this episode we discuss these two “greats” and their relationship to each other, as well as explore how to stoke the fire and fan the flame of both. We also dialogue about looking at the world around us from a new perspective— from a vantage point of long-term love, of working grace through the culture like yeast moving through dough (Matthew 13:33-37), and of viewing everything from the standpoint of redeemed-and-yet-to-be-redeemed as opposed to just sacred or secular (see Acts 3:20-21).   _________________ Relevant links 📻 Access the FREE 2-4-6 framework / audio course = https://www.lifelift.online/246  📺 Purchase the Healthy Church mini course = https://www.lifelift.online/HCMC  ⚙️ Grab the Healthy Systems mini course = https://www.lifelift.online/HSMC  ⭐️ See all resources = https://www.lifelift.online/store  Upcoming events + training opportunities on this resource ✅ Events for church + ministry leaders via LifeLift Ministries = www.LifeLift.online/events  Links to TAB Media Group / The Alabama Baptist ⭐️ Catch-all home page = https://tabmedia.group  📺 YouTube for TAB = https://www.youtube.com/@TABMediaGroup

In episode #24, I talked about “doing the daily work.” I also offered the example of Rob’s house flipping course AND his goal of making $1MM per year through a new venture. 💰 In that episode we discussed the importance of the lag measures AND the lead measures…. 📐 LEAD measures = the daily work you do, the actions you must track… (B/c the habits lead to the harvest— not the other way around.) ⏱️ LAG measures = the results of the work you do. If the lead measures are the CAUSES, these are the CONSEQUENCES of showing up… ⭐️   Rob shares part of his story here (the rest of it… is in his book— see the links below). He talks about— 1️⃣ PERSPECTIVE— seeing things from a new point-of-view. Face it: we ALWAYS have a specific vantage point, and that clouds everything. 2️⃣PROCESS— what we do in light of what we know…   ⚙️ By the way… A good system is simply a bridge that moves things from where they are to where you want them to be… with predictability.     _________________ Links referenced Access the GY6 book = www.GY6.online/AC  Free download of the Advance Planner = https://www.jenkins.tv/FreePlannerPDF  The Advance Planner (hardback, Advance on-demand course, and other Advance Planner-related resources— all on this page) = https://www.jenkins.tv/planners  One-to-one personal coaching = https://www.jenkins.tv/PC    Rob’s resources, mentioned in this talk = His book, The Long Way (Still Gets You There) = https://www.riseuponline.info/TLW  His mini-course for house flipping = https://www.riseuponline.info/offers/joTvbzT3/checkout  Rob's next live training = www.RiseUpOnline.info/live  The Maximum Allowable Offer explained = https://www.riseuponline.info/MAX    Upcoming events 📳 The GY6 LIVE! workshop = on the events page of the GY6 site = www.GY6.online/events  👟The “Be The One” 5K = signup to run, walk, volunteer, or just support the movement = www.BeTheOneToday.com
